The members of the Executive Board of the Federal Financial Supervisory Authority (Bundesanstalt für Finanzdienstleistungsaufsicht – BaFin) are subject to a code of conduct. The compliance officer provides advice regarding compliance with the rules of good conduct contained within this code of conduct.

The code of conduct covers issues including acceptance of benefits, invitations to events, voluntary positions and financial market transactions.

The compliance officer advises the members of the Executive Board of BaFin on matters related to the rules of good conduct specified in the code of conduct and receives notifications from Executive Board members in accordance with the code of conduct. The compliance officer is appointed upon the suggestion of the President of BaFin with the approval of the Federal Ministry of Finance (Bundesministerium der Finanzen – BMF).
