BaFin es­tab­lish­es a re­port­ing plat­form for whistle­blow­ers

With effect from 2 July 2016, BaFin has established a central contact point for so-called "whistleblowers". Whistleblowers may use this contact to report violations of supervisory provisions. Anonymity of whistleblowers will be a top priority for BaFin.

Felix Hufeld, who had previously served as Chief Executive Director Insurance and Pension Funds Supervision, has been the new President of BaFin since the beginning of March. He took over from Dr. Elke König, who is moving to Brussels to help set up and head the EU’s new Single Resolution Board.
