You can test the specialised procedure „Notifications of Major Holdings (Sec. 33 et seq. WpHG)“, through which an electronic notification of major holdings under sec. 33 et seq. WpHG must be submitted in a legally binding way since July 1, 2020. Please note, however, that it is not possible to submit a valid (legally effective) notification through the TEST-filing system, but only through the MVP-filing system „Notifications of Major Holdings (Sec. 33 et seq. WpHG)“, for which you will need a separate admission on the MVP if you intend to submit the notification electronically. Alternatively, you can still submit the notification in writing via fax. If you want to test the electronic filing system, you can register on BaFin’s MVP and apply for admission to the TEST-filing system “Test_Notifications of Major Holdings (Sec. 33 et seq. WpHG)” (for further details please see the Information sheet Registration and admission to the MVP-filing system “Notifications of Major Holdings (Sec. 33 et seq. WpHG)”, provided at the end of this page under “Additional information”). Your application will be approved after BaFin will have received your application via telefax (or mail). In the TEST-environment of the specialised procedure you can test the use of the Online-Form for notifications of major holdings as well as the submission of an XML-file of the notification via upload or through BaFin’s SOAP-service.
Electronic submission of notifications of major holdings
If you want to use the electronic filing system for submission of an electronic notification pursuant to sec. 33 et seq. WpHG, you have to apply additionally for admission to the electronic filing system „Notifications of Major Holdings (Sec. 33 et seq. WpHG)“, because your approval for the TEST-filing system does not automatically include your admission to the specialised procedure for electronic submission of a legally binding electronic notification.

It is not possible to submit an electronic notification of major holdings through the TEST-filing system in a legally effective way. You can apply for admission to the MVP-filing system for submission of legally binding notifications under Sec. 33 et seq. WpHG on your MVP-account under „application for a specialised procedure“. You will be informed about approval of your application via email (addressed to the email-address indicated at registration on the MVP).
