BaFin - Navigation & Service

Stand:updated on 06.02.2024 Bilateral cooperation

BaFin maintains contact with other supervisory authorities throughout the world. It organises bilateral meetings with other supervisors and discusses current issues and developments with them. Furthermore, in accordance with its legal mandate under FinDAG, BaFin gives advice to foreign supervisory authorities within the framework of technical cooperation in order to support them in establishing and further developing their supervisory systems. In particular, consulting activities for international projects that are connected to the enlargement of the EU are covered (Twinning, TAIEX). This helps German companies, among other things, to gain access to new markets.

Supervisors from various countries participate regularly in information meetings and seminars organised by BaFin. Foreign colleagues or persons interested in BaFin's daily work frequently take part in working visits. Thus, they can seize the opportunity to benefit first-hand from BaFin's experience and expertise.
