The German Regulation to Strengthen the Integrity of Integrated Financial Supervision (BaFin Integrity Regulation) enters into force on 1 April 2025. It supplements the legal framework of section 11a of the German Act Establishing the Federal Financial Supervisory Authority (Finanzdienstleistungsaufsichtsgesetz – FinDAG) governing private financial transactions (PFTs) by BaFin employees. The BaFin Integrity Regulation also contains, for the first time, rules on trading in cryptoassets and certain secondary activities.
