Topic Measures Maier + Partner Aktiengesellschaft: BaFin imposes administrative fines
On 20 September 2017, BaFin imposed administrative fines amounting to 60,000 euros against Maier + Partner AG.
The administrative fine order related to three breaches by Maier + Partner AG of section 37w (1) sentence 1 of the German Securities Trading Act (Wertpapierhandelsgesetz – WpHG). Maier + Partner AG had failed to make its half-yearly financial reports for the financial years of 2013, 2014 and 2015 publicly available within the prescribed period.
In accordance with the general principles for the assessment of administrative fines, it was necessary to take into consideration the fact that the infringement period partially fell under an earlier version of the WpHG, which stipulated a lower maximum fine.
On 4 October 2017 the company lodged an appeal against the administrative fine order.
