On 10 October 2019, BaFin imposed administrative fines amounting to 150,000 euros against Intertainment AG.

The sanction related to breaches by Intertainment AG of section 114 (1) sentence 2 of the German Securities Trading Act (WertpapierhandelsgesetzWpHG) and section 37v (1) sentences 1 and 2 of the old version of the WpHG.

Intertainment AG had failed to publish an announcement, stating the date and the website on which the accounting documents listed in section 114 (2) WpHG for the financial year of 2015 were made publicly available in addition to their availability in the business register.

Intertainment AG had failed to make its half-yearly financial report for the financial year of 2016 publicly available within the prescribed period.

Intertainment AG had failed to publish an announcement, stating the date and the website on which the half-yearly financial report for the financial year of 2016 were made publicly available in addition to its availability in the business register within the prescribed period.

The company can lodge an appeal against the administrative fine order.

On 24 October 2019, the company lodged an appeal against the administrative fine order.

Update (16 June 2020):

On 27 April 2020, the Frankfurt am Main Local Court (Amtsgericht Frankfurt am Main) decided to impose fines totalling 50,000 euros on Intertainment AG. The decision is final and binding.
