Erscheinung:13.06.2018 BaFin issues warning against e-mails allegedly from a "Mr Deggy Rudolf"

Unknown persons are currently sending e-mails with a fake BaFin ID under the name "Deggy Rudolf" together with a letter of final warning in English allegedly signed by BaFin Chief Executive Director Elisabeth Roegele.

In this letter, BaFin supposedly asserts that, in cooperation with the German customs authorities, numerous packages have been secured at Frankfurt am Main Airport that can only be released upon the provision of a certificate of origin.

BaFin has not issued these letters and Mr Deggy Rudolf is not an employee of BaFin. BaFin warns recipients of these e-mails not to follow the instructions contained in the letter. If you have received one of these e-mails, please inform BaFin at ZR5@bafin.de.
