BaFin has published the English translation of the 2017/2018 statistics on reinsurance undertakings on its website.
The reinsurance statistics contain information on the number of authorised reinsurance undertakings and branch offices of foreign reinsurance undertakings as well as on the economic trends in the reinsurance market. The statistical evaluation of the 2017 financial statements includes 29 reinsurance undertakings and one branch of a third-country reinsurer. The German version of the reinsurance statistics is also available on BaFin’s website.
