Erscheinung:13.02.2019 Fraud: BaFin issues warning about fake non-disclosure agreement

BaFin does not send “mutual non-disclosure agreements” to companies.

BaFin has been made aware of two cases in which companies with international operations have received emails purporting to be from BaFin that contained fake mutual non-disclosure agreements. These e-mails appear to have been sent with fraudulent intent. The individuals named in the agreements, Thomas Bergmann and Julian Becker, are not BaFin employees, and the e-mail addresses used, Thomas.Bergmann@bafin-frankfurt.de and julian.becker@bafin-frankfurt.org, are not BaFin email addresses. The e-mails were in English.
