The Federal Financial Supervisory Authority (BaFin) warns consumers about the website ertdoma.com and 26 additional identical websites. According to information available to BaFin, the operators are providing financial and investment services on these websites without the required authorisation.
In addition to the website ertdoma.com, other identical websites can be found on the internet. In each case, one of the 26 letters of the alphabet has simply been added to the website name “ertdoma”:
ertdoma.com ertdomaa.com ertdomab.com
ertdomac.com ertdomad.com ertdomae.com
ertdomaf.com ertdomag.com ertdomah.com
ertdomai.com ertdomaj.com ertdomak.com
ertdomal.com ertdomam.com ertdoman.com
ertdomao.com ertdomap.com ertdomaq.com
ertdomar.com ertdomas.com ertdomat.com
ertdomau.com ertdomav.com ertdomaw.com
ertdomax.com ertdomay.com ertdomaz.com
The websites contain fake content such as alleged interviews with German celebrities on German TV shows or news reports. The websites claim that this content has been published in the German news media. This is not the case. The identity of the operators of ertdoma.com and the other websites is unclear. Visitors to these websites are offered the opportunity to enter their contact details in order to get in touch with a supposedly reputable provider of investment opportunities. As of November 2024, the website is currently advertising Immediate Core. BaFin issued a warning about this provider on 3 June 2024.
Anyone providing financial or investment services in Germany may do so only with authorisation from BaFin. However, some companies offer these services without the necessary authorisation. Information on whether a particular company has been granted authorisation by BaFin can be found in BaFin’s database of companies.
The information provided by BaFin is based on section 37 (4) of the German Banking Act (Kreditwesengesetz – KWG).
Please be aware:
BaFin, the German Federal Criminal Police Office (Bundeskriminalamt – BKA) and the German state criminal police offices (Landeskriminalämter) recommend that consumers seeking to invest money online should exercise the utmost caution and do the necessary research beforehand in order to identify fraud attempts at an early stage.
