Erscheinung:16.12.2024 | Topic Unauthorised business, Consumer protection skp-invest.com: BaFin warns consumers about website and identity fraud

The Federal Financial Supervisory Authority (BaFin) warns consumers about the services offered on the website skp-invest.com. BaFin suspects the website operators of offering consumers financial and investment services on this platform without the required authorisation.

The website states business addresses in Pforzheim and Stuttgart, Germany, as well as corporate information regarding SKP Invest GmbH, based in Pforzheim. However, SKP Invest GmbH does not actually bear responsibility for the website skp-invest.com. This is a case of identity theft.

The information provided by BaFin is based on section 37 (4) of the German Banking Act (Kreditwesengesetz – KWG).

Please be aware:

BaFin, the German Federal Criminal Police Office (BundeskriminalamtBKA) and the German state criminal police offices (Landeskriminalämter) recommend that consumers seeking to invest money online should exercise the utmost caution and do the necessary research beforehand in order to identify fraud attempts at an early stage.
