The financial supervisory authority BaFin warns against offers from the website bgcg-sparbrief.net (before: bgcg-sparbrief.de). It is suspected that the unknown operators are offering overnight and fixed-term deposits as well as investment advice under the name ‘BGC Group’ or ‘BGCG Sparbrief’. The offers do not originate from Aurel BGC - Frankfurt Branch. This is a case of identity theft.
Anyone providing financial or investment services in Germany may do so only with authorisation from BaFin. However, some companies offer these services without the necessary authorisation.
The information provided by BaFin is based on section 37 (4) of the German Banking Act (Kreditwesengesetz – KWG).
