The financial supervisory authority BaFin warns against alleged fixed-term deposit offers from the website kersten-anlageberatung.com. BaFin expressly points out that the licensed securities institution Kersten Anlageberatung GmbH contrary to the information in the imprint does not operate the website. This is a case of identity theft.
Anyone providing financial or investment services in Germany may do so only with authorisation from BaFin. However, some companies offer these services without the necessary authorisation.
The information provided by BaFin is based on section 37 (4) of the German Banking Act (Kreditwesengesetz – KWG).
