The German Federal Financial Supervisory Authority (BaFin) warns against the operator that appears under the name ‘Internationale Bausparkasse’. According to the supervisory authority, the operator offers banking transactions and financial services as well as crypto-value services without a licence.

The operator uses the website internationalebausparkasse.com. According to the imprint on this website, International Building Society Fund Ltd., London, United Kingdom, is responsible for the website. Until recently, Inter Real Holding LTD, with the same registered office, was named in the imprint. Gervest Capital Consulting LTD is the company named to customers as being responsible. It claims to be based in Gazimaǧusa, Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus. The operator is not authorised to use the legally protected term ‘Bausparkasse’ (building society).

The website interbausparen.com can also be found on the internet, which is extremely similar to the website internationalebausparkasse.com in terms of content and design. However, a responsible operator is not named here.

Anyone offering banking and financial services or crypto-currency services in Germany requires a licence from BaFin. However, some companies offer such services without the required licence. Information on whether a particular company is authorised by BaFin can be found in the company database.

The information provided by BaFin is based on Section 37 (4) of the German Banking Act (KWG) and Section 10 (7) of the German Crypto Markets Supervision Act (KMAG).

Please be aware:

BaFin, the German Federal Criminal Police Office (BundeskriminalamtBKA) and the German state criminal police offices (Landeskriminalämter) recommend that consumers seeking to invest money online should exercise the utmost caution and do the necessary research beforehand in order to identify fraud attempts at an early stage.
