The Federal Financial Supervisory Authority (BaFin) warns against the offers of Eurofina Financial Group Limited. The company offers unauthorised financial and investment services; it is not authorised under the German Banking Act (KWG) or the German Securities Institutions Act (WpIG). The prospectuses required under the German Securities Prospectus Act (Wertpapierprospektgesetz - WpPG) for a public offer of securities are also not available. Specifically, the company is deceiving investors by claiming to be able to buy shares in Duracell Inc. from it. There are clear doubts as to whether the offering party is willing and able to transfer ownership of the shares offered.

The Eurofina Financial Group Limited appears on the Internet through its website eurofinalimited.com. In addition to the Duracell shares, shares of other companies are discussed there. In these cases, too, no securities prospectuses are available under the WpPG. In addition, the Eurofina Financial Group Limited offers further services on its website, e.g. the opening of an online securities account. The securities account is to be available in particular for trading in shares and currencies. In addition, fixed-term deposits are to be possible
On its website, Eurofina Financial Group Limited states that its registered offices are in Welwyn and London, both in the United Kingdom. It also suggests that it is registered in the United Kingdom's commercial register (Companies House). However, this is likely to be an identity theft at the expense of Eurofina Limited.

In the past, there have been frequent reports of fraud attempts in which shares of well-known companies are offered for subscription. However, these shares are not delivered after payment by the buyers and the providers can no longer be reached; in some cases, the offered shares do not even exist.

The BaFin, the Federal Criminal Police Office and the State Criminal Police Offices therefore advise consumers in general to be extremely careful when investing money on the internet and to do thorough research in advance in order to recognise fraud attempts in good time.

Background:

In principle, securities may not be offered to the public in Germany without the publication of a prospectus that has been approved in advance by the BaFin – that is, subject to an exemption for prospectuses. As part of such approval, the BaFin checks whether the prospectus contains the minimum information required by law and whether its content is comprehensible and coherent (free of contradictions). However, it does not check the accuracy of the content of the prospectus. Similarly, the BaFin does not check the reputation of the issuer or the product.

No valid securities prospectus approved by BaFin is available in connection with a public offering of Duracell shares. You can check whether an approved prospectus for a public offering of securities has been filed with BaFin in the Filed prospectuses database.

In addition, companies offering consumers securities of other companies for sale require a licence from BaFin. This also applies to pre-IPO shares. You can find information on whether a particular company is licensed by BaFin in the database of companies.

Please be aware:

BaFin, the German Federal Criminal Police Office (BundeskriminalamtBKA) and the German state criminal police offices (Landeskriminalämter) recommend that consumers seeking to invest money online should exercise the utmost caution and do the necessary research beforehand in order to identify fraud attempts at an early stage.
