The Federal Financial Supervisory Authority BaFin warns consumers against alleged investment offers, in particular bonds, which are sent from the e-mail address info [at] walterludwig-gmbh.com. The offers do not originate from Walter Ludwig GmbH Wertpapierhandelsbank, which is also not connected to the website walterludwig-gmbh.com. This is a case of identity theft by unknown perpetrators. Walter Ludwig GmbH Wertpapierhandelsbank does not provide any investment services to private clients.
Anyone conducting banking business or providing financial or investment services in Germany may do so only with authorisation from BaFin. However, some companies offer these services without the required authorisation. Information on whether companies have been authorised by BaFin can be found in BaFin’s database of companies.
BaFin is issuing this information on the basis of section 37 (4) of the German Banking Act (Kreditwesengesetz – KWG) and section 10 (7) of the German Cryptomarkets Supervision Act (Kryptomärkteaufsichtsgesetz – KMAG).
