Erscheinung:11.08.2025 | Topic Unauthorised business, Consumer protection Zinswelten: BaFin warns consumers about website
The Federal Financial Supervisory Authority (BaFin) warns consumers about the website zinswelten.de. The company “Zinswelten”, which claims to have its registered office in Munich, is using the website to offer financial and investment services without the required authorisation.
Specifically, the operators of the website are brokering deposit investments in the United Kingdom and other countries and offering advisory services regarding investment opportunities such as shares.
The website operators refer to themselves as “Zinswelten” without stating the company’s legal form. Contrary to the information in the website’s legal notice, the company has no connection to Euroclear Bank SA/NV Repräsentanz, which has its registered office in Frankfurt am Main. This is a case of identity fraud.
BaFin is issuing this warning on the basis of section 37 (4) of the German Banking Act (Kreditwesengesetz – KWG).
Please be aware:
BaFin, the German Federal Criminal Police Office (Bundeskriminalamt – BKA) and the German state criminal police offices (Landeskriminalämter) recommend that consumers seeking to invest money online should exercise the utmost caution and do the necessary research beforehand in order to identify fraud attempts at an early stage.
