The Federal Financial Supervisory Authority (BaFin) warns consumers about the services offered on the website skylinefx(.)co. According to information available to BaFin, financial and investment services are being provided on this website without the required authorisation.
On the website, the company Skyline Financial Limited is named as the website operator. When dealing with customers, the operator uses the company name SkyLineFx Trading Point of Financial Instruments Limited. In both cases, the same registered address in Milton Keynes, UK, is provided. In the British register of companies (Companies House), this address is listed as the registered office of the company Skyline Financial LTD. BaFin has no evidence that Skyline Financial LTD has any relationship whatsoever to the website skylinefx(.)co and the services offered there. This is most likely a case of identity fraud.
Furthermore, BaFin has noticed that the content of the website skylinefx(.)co bears similarities to the website swissprimefx(.)com, which we have previously issued a warning about.
Anyone providing financial, investment or cryptoasset services in Germany may do so only with authorisation from BaFin. However, some companies offer these services without the necessary authorisation. Information on whether a particular company has been granted authorisation by BaFin can be found in BaFin’s database of companies.
BaFin is issuing this warning on the basis of section 37 (4) of the German Banking Act (Kreditwesengesetz – KWG).
