The Federal Financial Supervisory Authority (BaFin) warns consumers about the services offered on the website baringinvestments(.)com. According to information available to BaFin, this website is being used to offer financial and investment services without the required authorisation.
The website does not contain any indication of the complete name of the operator including its legal form. It also provides no information on the registered office or company address. When dealing with customers, the operator uses the names Baring Investments or Baringinvestments, Baring Asset Management, Baring Ltd and Baring Capital Management Limited. The operator provides addresses in Sutton Coldfield and London, both located in the UK.
Anyone providing financial, investment or cryptoasset services in Germany may do so only with authorisation from BaFin. However, some companies offer these services without the necessary authorisation.
