The Federal Financial Supervisory Authority (BaFin) warns consumers about the website toptier-capital.io. According to information available to BaFin, financial and investment services are being provided on this website without the required authorisation.
The unknown operator of the website claims to be based in London, United Kingdom. BaFin already published a warning about the largely identical toptiercapital.org website on 25 May 2024.
BaFin has recently become aware of a number of websites with almost identical content and has also warned consumers about them. In each case, the website’s homepage displays the phrase: “Step Into the Trading Arena with Confidence & [name of website]“.
Anyone providing financial or investment services in Germany may do so only with authorisation from BaFin. However, some companies offer these services without the necessary authorisation. Information on whether a particular company has been granted authorisation by BaFin can be found in BaFin’s database of companies.
Theinformation provided by BaFin is based on section 37 (4) of the German Banking Act (Kreditwesengesetz – KWG).
